Biography
Sima Ataollahi Eshkoor is a medical doctor with a PhD in Human Genetics from Universiti Putra
Malaysia, earned in 2011. She has contributed to understanding the molecular
mechanisms underlying diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders, while
also working to improve the quality of life for individuals suffering from dementia and
cognitive impairments.
She has authored multiple publications on dementia and recently contributed review
papers exploring the mechanisms related to neurological diseases. One of her most
impactful papers, focused on Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and was published in
the Journal of Clinical Interventions in Aging, has been cited more than 570 times.
Currently, Dr. Sima is collaborating with Professor Dr. Nasrin Asgari’s research team
at the University of Southern Denmark on projects aimed at improving health
outcomes for individuals with neurological disorders.
With clinical experience in neurology and neurological diseases, Dr. Sima possesses
a deep understanding of the biological and environmental factors contributing to
neurological disorders and cognitive decline. Her clinical background enables her to
bridge the gap between scientific research and real-world patient care.
A dedicated advocate for advancing scientific research, Dr. Sima has collaborated
with international research teams, played a key role in organizing conferences,
mentored early-career researchers, and contributed to peer-review processes. She
is honored to be as a Scientific Committee Member of NeuroSeries 2025, where she
aims to inspire innovative strategies for improving neurological health on a global
scale.
